SERVICE CONTRACT AGREEMENT

Aquarium Service Agreement

Services are based on the size, type, and amount of equipment used in the aquarium. A flat-rate fee applies unless otherwise noted.

Service Frequency

  • Service will be performed weekly or bi-weekly, as agreed upon.

Included Services

  • Clean aquarium glass

  • Change and wash filter socks (socks provided by the client)

  • Replace fleece if needed (fleece provided by the client)

  • Verify all equipment is functioning properly, including:

    • Heaters

    • Chillers

    • Pumps

    • Dosing systems

  • Clean protein skimmer (if present)

  • Clean media reactors (if present)

  • Clean all filtration systems (e.g., canisters, sumps, hang-on-back filters)

  • Clean UV sterilizers

  • Perform water testing weekly, including:

    • Alkalinity

    • Calcium

    • Magnesium

    • Phosphates (low and ultra-low)

    • Salinity

    • pH

    • Ammonia

    • Nitrites and Nitrates

  • Labor for water changes

  • Clean aquarium lights and any equipment used on or around the tank as needed

  • Recommend livestock levels and compatible species

  • Equipment recommendations within a set budget

  • PAR meter light setup (intensity, spectrum, and day/night cycles based on the light type, number of lights, and output)

Optional / Additional Services (Fees Apply)

  • Specialty water tests available upon request

  • Monthly or weekly water quality reports upon request

  • Salt mix and RODI water (available for purchase)

  • Media replacement (carbon, phosphate remover, etc.)

  • Algae treatment and aiptasia removal

  • Supply of all consumables (e.g., food, test kits, additives)

  • Emergency service calls, billed separately:

    • Set base fee plus materials, equipment, and labor time

  • ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma) testing available upon request

Water Testing Philosophy

Water testing is a critical part of maintaining a healthy saltwater, reef, FOWLR, brackish, or freshwater system. I use only high-quality, hobby-grade test kits selected for accuracy, reliability, and ease of use. ICP testing is also available for in-depth water analysis.
